I've taught through the letter that Paul wrote to the Galatians more than once, putting words in Paul's mouth and assigning meaning that isn't contextually accurate with all his letters nor with the gospel accounts, nor the entire context of the whole counsel of God from Genesis to Revelation. I have been delivered from that and the Spirit has given me revelation of Jesus to teach Galatians for the amazing message of freedom from the law and a loving dependence upon the Spirit of God by faith in Jesus Christ in His finished work. I hope you will join me with an open heart and mind.

The Apostle Paul went through immense hard times, beaten to within an inch of his life 5 times, and more! But he was assured by vision of what God had in store for him. Whatever you face in life, and we face a lot under this curse that we have inherited, if you're born again into the royal family of God through Jesus Christ, you have a paradise awaiting you. I'll be 69 years old in about 23 days and I've seen and experienced a lot of tragedy, death of a child, decades in a legalistic manipulative cult, and I can testify that Jesus has seen me through it all! And I know, being assured of by faith that paradise with Jesus awaits me. And He will walk through this life with me, comfort me, and receive me into His loving arms when my time comes. If He did that

We're starting the work week, and you may be facing some pretty hard trials... maybe family life is a bit of a turmoil right now, or you're struggling with a decision or feelings of hopelessness, fear and shame. You may think there is just no way.... But Jesus is able! Give it to Him. Rest in His goodness, His love and power, and see the mighty hand of God take you through whatever the world, the flesh and devil throw at you.

A song by Steven Curtis Chapman, from the early 90's has an amazing imagery of saddling up and riding the wide open spaces with Jesus Christ on the Great Adventure of life in Him! We have a lot to be thankful for and promises that God will keep that are for us! We have reason to rejoice and walk, even ride in the victory He has purchased in Him blood! We have a new Daddy, and new Brother, and a faithful Bridegroom! Give me 10 minutes... and let's ride!

003 Called and Equipped by God, Not by Men!

Beginning to dig into Galatians Chapter One, we travel through Verse 10, keeping the context of Paul's calling and equipping as an apostle being by God and through God and not by and through men. Man tends to add to and subtract from what God has already said and done. When Jesus said, "It is finished," somehow we heard, "I'm finished, except...." There is no except. There is nothing man can add. Works to attain, the law, the rules of your church or mine, or what is added by a pastor, teacher, preacher, Bible college or seminary is not only not needed, but it is in the way and precludes the finished work of Christ. It is a gospel that is no gospel at all. Join me as we continue this exciting look at the letter to the Galatians.

How Did I Get Here - Galatians Study Intro

Looking back into the past and recognizing how past experiences had a part in setting me up and making me ripe to join in and even lead a cult brings some understanding the Apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians. His is a full throated declaration of independence from the legalism of the religion of Judaism. In my experience, I believe I can clearly identify with him and his message. Today, as then, there is a variation called "Messianic Judaism," that attempts to add keeping the "law of Moses," to the simple gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Please join me as we look at the Letter to the Galatians, verse by verse, and hear what the Spirit is telling us through His apostle.
